The guesthouse “La Civetta” is
situated in the region of Tuscia, province of Viterbo, at just
5 minutes distance from the mediaeval village of Bomarzo.
Following the road that leads to the famous Parco dei Mostri
one arrives at the top of a hill overlooking a plain, which
offers a spectacular view over the rich green valley of the
nature reserve of Monte Casoli. The view is made even more
dramatic by the stone Etruscan tombs residing on the
neighbouring hill.
The Agriturismo is surrounded by oak woods, ideal for
excursions, both on foot and mountain bike. The small green
wood-paths lead you to a natural spring, its waters meandering
through the silent shadows of the tall trees. Numerous species
of animals like hedgehogs, foxes, boar and many different
birds live undisturbed in these surroundings. |
| The farm, of approx. 40 ha, follows biological methods. |
 |
| Olives, nuts, grapevines, red
fruits and other, vegetables, corn and fodder are cultivated.
Breeding consists in pigs, sheep, goats and ostriches. These
provide the basic ingredients for the meals prepared at the
guesthouse. Several products, such as olive oil, jams and
preserves can also be purchased. |
